TONY VINCENT WORLD

RENT

Within weeks of landing in New York City to pursue his dream of a recording deal in rock ‘n’ roll, word of mouth led Tony Vincent to an open call for the award winning musical RENT where he successfully gained a part with the US touring company.  Tony joined the tour on the Cleveland stop over in June 1998, initially cast as a swing, and he traveled onwards with the production to Philadelphia, Baltimore, Minnesota and Colorado.  Tony left the road tour at the beginning of 1999 to make his Broadway debut, cast in the lead roles of Roger Davis and then of Mark Cohen at the Nederlander Theatre, New York City. "‘Rent I loved because Roger, this aspiring songwriter, is a lot like me” Tony said.  This experience was an opportunity for Tony to showcase his talents to a broader audience, and although unplanned, it would be the start of a successful run in musical theatre castings not only in the US, but also across the world.
