After 3 weeks of previews, the evening of September 8th 2004, brought about the official opening of the North American production of We Will Rock You on the Las Vegas Strip. This debut performance was an invitation only event, being attended by the close family and friends of those involved with the show aswell as a star studded line up, including the show's co-producer Robert De Niro. 'Rock Royalty' aka Brian May and Roger Taylor were also in the house of course, like proud parents, to show support to this fantastic company. For this special performance Tony Vincent and Aspen Miller were the principals chosen to take on the double cast roles of Galileo and Scaramouche and they were more than up for the challenge, delivering an incredibly strong and worthy performance that thrilled the hyped audience. During the curtain call, the cast and band were joined on stage by the legend's that created this international phenomenon, Brian May, Roger Taylor, Ben Elton and Robert De Niro.

Once the bows were done, the hugs exchanged, and the photographs taken, the festivities continued at the pool area located on the third floor roof of the Paris hotel. Brian May and Roger Taylor were firstly inducted (by hand prints) into the 'Hollywood Rock Walk' before the 'all star jam' session commenced. Chris Thompson's band entertained the near 2000 guests and astounding performances were given by Roger Taylor, Brian May, double cast principals and Broadway veterans Jason Wooten and Kacie Sheik, Meatloaf, Steve Vai, Kevin Dubrow (Quiet Riot), Nuno Bettencourt (Exteme), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Steve Lukather (Toto) making it an unforgettable, 'perfectly Las Vegas' bash, to celebrate the birthing of this 'perfectly Las Vegas' Rock Theatrical on American soil.
