I just wanted to drop you all a quick mid-summer email to keep you updated on the latest TV and TVW news. 

First up, if you are a subscriber to the TV mailing-list then you will already have read the very exciting news that Tony is hittin' the stage again!!! - being cast alongside his wife, Aspen as the lead male vocalist in the first US National Tour of Dirty Dancing - THE CLASSIC STORY ON STAGE!!!  I'm sure you all share in my ABSOLUTE delight at the coming about of this amazing opportunity (for Tony and for us) and wish both he and Aspen well as they prepare to re-locate to Chicago to begin intense rehearsals with this original production at the end of July, in readiness for their first performance at the Cadillac Palace Theatre on 28th September.  You all will be wanting to catch a show (of course), so you can check out the tour schedule / ticket sales here :).  More specific information will be announced on tonyvincent.com soon!

Next up, I want to reach out with a last chance opportunity to anyone who would like to be involved with the "Around the World in 50 Days" TV-Birthday Card Challenge.  If you recall, 30 days ago we launched this challenge whereby 9 geographically selected routes began journeying around 6 Continents of the World gathering up handwritten messages from fans - the goal being to express our Global unity, support and appreciation to Tony on one Birthday Card!  At the outset of this challenge I never imagined the response from you all would be so fantastic (and so widespread), nor did I imagine that the Global postal system would be so unreliable!  Unfortunately, there have been some lost message routes along the way - some never reaching their first destination even, which has meant that alternative arrangements for getting messages from those people have been needed.  It's been frustrating on occasion, but the sense of community that this challenge has brought about has seen us all work together to overcome such obstacles and to ensure that the active routes have kept moving on to the next destination in a timely fashion.  It has been truly special for me to connect and establish friendships with many of you over the past few weeks, and something else that has been great to see is how, on a couple of occasions, fans living in the same area have met up to add their messages together!  That is EXACTLY what tonyvincentworld.com is focused towards - bringing fans and friends of Tony Vincent together and, as a result of such 'togetherness', I'm proud to announce that, to date, 23 countries are represented on the TV Birthday Card, in over 100 messages!  

Having read many of your messages as they have arrived back with me in the UK, I know that Tony is going to be so touched by them and the overall sentiment held within this Birthday Card.  The thought and imagination that you all have put into conveying your message has been incredible.  So, thank you to ALL those who have contributed to this Birthday Card Challenge thus far, you're AMAZING, and to those who would like to add a message to the Birthday Card .... ACT NOW!!  Here are your last chance options:

1. Depending on how much you want to write, put your message on either a 8cm x 10cm or 15cm x 10cm piece of card (postcard type card) and priority post to:

I need all message cards to arrive with me NO LATER than 16th July.  Please email me ASAP if it is your intention to mail me a message so that I can ensure a placement space is reserved on the card for you.

2. Alternatively, you can email your message to admin@tonyvincentworld.com and I'll ensure that it is printed off and included. 

In recognition of the fact that Tony has fans in 6 Continents of the World, many of you contributed monies towards an accompanying surprise gift of "6 Continents of Wine from 6 Continents of Fans" which were specially selected and ordered some weeks back from Tony's favorite wine seller, winelibrary.com.  The plan was to have the bottles shipped to Tony in NYC on his Birthday, but his imminent relocation forced an early delivery as the wine company are no longer able to ship to the state of Illinois.

After much delivery drama and confusion, the package EVENTUALLY landed with Tony on 2nd July, and you can check out his newsletter: A fairy tale, a dirty dance and a little bit of the white stuff.... to read Tony's response to this early Birthday gift.  I have heard that pre-birthday and tour celebrations have already begun with the popping of corks in the Vincent residence, and that the bottles are very much being enjoyed, so many thanks to all those who contributed to such a special gift!
