After leaving the London production of We Will Rock You and heading back to New York City, Tony set to work on searching for a home for his own music. It was during this period of songwriting and quiet reflection that he was invited to perform at the Rockers on Broadway benefit concert and also at two gigs with the SAS band back in the UK. Tony showcased for thrilled fans, the results of many weeks and months of hard work, with the debut of a self penned track at each event. Live performance is a 'trippy feeling', an 'irresistible buzz' for Tony, which draws him forth like metal to a magnet, and this experience of singing to an audience with the backing of a live band again made him thirst for more. Soon, Tony was in negotiations with the producers of the show that held such a special place in his heart and he was asked to reclaim the lead role of 'Galileo Figaro' for the American production that would launch in Las Vegas during the summer of 2004. This time, however, the demanding role would be double cast, leaving Tony time out to work on his own music whilst satisfying his urge to perform live rock'n'roll music. Relocating 'out west' would also bring Tony closer to family and friends in New Mexico, allowing him to nip home for visits a little more often than he could when he was in London!
In June 2004 Tony packed his bags once more and moved from New York City to the bright lights of 'Sin City' to join a fresh new cast for rehearsals of the stripped down adaptation of the smash hit Rock Theatrical that was to begin previews at the Paris Hotel, Las Vegas......in just eight weeks!
"breaking ground....this time on American soil."
