Dear TVW friends,
If you received the last TVW newsletter you will already know that we have been throwing our £ and $ together to buy champagne for Tony's opening night on Broadway on April 20th. I wanted to drop you all this email just to update you on the current budget amount and what has been done with your hard-earned wonga! Firstly, can I say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. The way you have dipped into your pockets and given so readily to make Tony's opening night extra-special, is TOTALLY mind-blowing. What has been achieved here in under 2 weeks, shows TRUE fans at work. Thank you for embracing and supporting this idea with such enthusiasm everyone! So, how much do we have in the budget so far, I hear you ask?
Well, we have raised a MASSIVE....... £501.00GBP ($769USD)!!!
And, what has been done with this fantastic amount of money, you will all want to know......
We were hoping to raise enough to buy Tony a magnum of Dom Perignon ($374USD +shipping) but if you've been following my Facebook updates, or received the email blast sent out to all donors a few days back, then you'll know that my mind thought changed on that somewhat, and we decided (by unanimous decision), to split the gift into two parts and include Tony's beautiful wife in the gift giving aswell (Aspen Vincent is cast (as a Swing) and will be making her Broadway debut with American Idiot).
So, these are the gifts we have lined up for them!
1) Two (750mls) boxed bottles of Dom Perignon with individual gift cards and bows. Total inc shipping : $277.66USD. Ian, our wine guru at winelibrary.com has personally taken charge of this order and it has already been shipped out and received by Jamie Caplan (one of the St James Theatre interns) who will be presenting them to Tony and Aspen on opening night on our behalf.
2) A cylinder floral vase arrangement to include 6 yellow roses (one to represent each continent of the world where Tony has fans), 6 Gerbera Daisies (a favorite flower of Tony's), as well as orchids, nice fillers, greens and willow branches, ohh yes, and a big (yet tasteful) bow and gift card. Ordered from starflor.com. Nic (the senior partner) has been dialoging with me personally from a break away in Greece to ensure that the arrangement that his team create for us is both, "specific and amazing" (his words). Total inc delivery : $97.00. The delivery will be made to Tony and Aspen at the St. James Theatre on the afternoon of the 20th April.
OK, so if you're good with maths, you'll see that we have some $ and £ left over. In fact we have £257 ($394) left to spend. With both gifts of champagne and flowers being disposable products, my thought was that we spend the remaining money on a more permanent gift that would remind Tony and Aspen not only of their opening night on Broadway, but also of how much they are both loved and appreciated by fans and friends the world over. With just one week 'til the big night however, it was a daunting task, and a massive dilemma and drama to find, and orchestrate, a gift that would befit the occasion. But I think we've found it! For this 3rd part of the gift-giving I have engaged the help of Sandy at EngravingAwardsGifts.com for an expedited and exquisite order which she is still in the throws of working on for us.
Firstly, a large crystal ice bucket (the one on the left in the image but without the wooden base):

To be custom engraved / etched on the front and back as follows:

In addition, a beautiful pair of crystal champagne flutes (as the one below) engraved and etched as follows:

These items are still in production stage and will be shipped on the 19th April for delivery to Jamie Caplan on the 20th April. They will be presented to Tony and Aspen along with the Dom Per champagne. The crystal order has sent us MASSIVELY over budget (approx £200 + the shipping and expedited order charge), and, although I am more than willing to pick up the shortfall myself, if anyone would still like to be a part of this, and contribute towards the cost of these gifts from us, then it isn't too late! Using PayPal, simply pay your contribution to email: admin@tonyvincentworld.com. Other payment options are available. Please email me for details. Every penny--every dime, counts, and is much appreciated by myself (and my credit card!). Any donations that take us above budget, will be returned.
Not many artists / actors can boast such a loyal group of supporters, so once again, THANK YOU to everyone who has gone to the next level and dipped into their pockets to make this special gift possible. Making decisions on ways to spend other people's money is a massive responsibility, so I hope that I have chosen well on behalf of us all, and that you are happy with the choices made. Please throw back your thoughts and comments--i'm keen to know what you all think. Hopefully we'll have feedback from Jamie and some photos of the presentation to enjoy. I'll keep you posted!
I continue to be incredibly proud of all the work we do on TVW. We have, once again, grouped together and pulled off something quite unique and spectacular. Our gifts are going to overwhelm for SURE, and give our dear Tony and Aspen such happy moments, such special memories, and a WONDERFUL permanent reminder of their opening night on Broadway together--and being sent with much love from fans and friends all over the world....what could be better?
More soon!

Dear TVW supporters!
A very significant date in Tony Vincent's calendar and career is fast approaching. April 20th 2010, will not only represent the official opening of Green Day's punk rock-opera "American Idiot", but it will also go down in TV-history as the day that Tony returns (and explodes) onto the Broadway stage!!

As I'm sure you will be aware, Tony takes on the charismatic co-lead role of "St. Jimmy", and is garnering rave reviews night after night in this breath-taking and moving piece of Broadway theatre (which is currently in previews at the St. James Theatre). Check out the americanidiotonbroadway.com website for ticket booking and show information!
It's a momentous occasion for Tony (and for us), so, to mark his special opening night, I propose that we group together and send him a very special celebratory gift from us all. Flowers? nawww......how about something more fitting for our show stealing superstar, and rock 'n' roll wine lover --like a MAGNIFICENT magnum of champagne?
I have been in contact with our wine guru over at winelibrary.com (who has helped us in the past with wine deliveries to Tony on his Birthday) and he has agreed to arrange the delivery of a very impressive magnum of champagne, complete with bow decoration and gift tag, to Tony at the St. James Theatre on opening night--the only catch being,.... that we have to pay for it......dang!
As much as I would love to be able to cover the cost of this myself (on behalf of us all), it just isn't possible, so this is why I am sending out this message now, to appeal to you (and to your pockets) for help.
If you would like to contribute towards the cost of this opening night gift for Tony, then I would TRULY appreciate your support. No matter how big or small, all donations would be gratefully received. Contributions can be deposited into the TVW PayPal acct. Please copy this link--> https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=6223168 and paste it into your browser to do so (clicking on the link won't work due to a link conflict with our website provider). ALL donations will be spent on the gift, so until we know how much is in the budget, it won't be possible tp pick out our specific bottle just yet. Our wine guru has suggested a brilliant magnum of Dom Perignon as being the ULTIMATE gift to fit this momentous occasion, but, as amazing as that would be, we'll just have to wait and see what bottles are within our reach.
Any monetary donations must be deposited into the TVW PayPal account by 16th April, and soon after, I will let the donors know which bottle has been selected, and the message that will be added to the gift card (unfortunately there will not be enough room on the gift card to list the names of individual donors). I anticipate that a photo of Tony with our gift will be available at some point after opening night.
Thank you all for reading this message, and, to those who are able to contribute, a massive THANK YOU in advance for deep digging into your pockets for Tony. Whether we go for a $375 magnum of Dom Perignon, or a $75 budget bottle, Tony will be touched to tears (guaranteed), and blown away by such a generous gift of love, pride and support from us fans on his special opening night. I know it will mean the WORLD to him. This Broadway opportunity has been a long time coming --he has put an enormous amount of work into this Green Day project, and now deserves every moment of the magic and success it brings him. Fingers crossed for a Tony Award nomination for him next month too!
More soon!
Best wishes to you all.

The cast of AMERICAN IDIOT collaborated with Green Day to record a new version of '21 Guns' during their run at the Berkeley Rep Theatre last year. Dear Friends,
If you're headin' to New York City this year (or are fortunate enough to live there) then watch out for the very amazing, black clothed, guy-liner wearing, tattoo wielding, sexy ass'd, punk rock, drug slinging, freedom fighter TONY VINCENT, kickin' it HARDCORE in the principal role of St. Jimmy in Green Day's "American Idiot" rock theatrical which opens on 20th April, 2010 at the St. James Theatre, BROADWAY! (previews begin 24th March). Sign up on americanidiotonbroadway.com and tonyvincent.com to receive ticket booking and show information directly to your email inbox. Tickets are currently on sale to AMEX holders and go on general release this coming February 14th.
As you will know, Tony originated the role of St. Jimmy during a 10 week test-run of American Idiot at the Berkeley Rep Theatre, CA, and he wow'd audiences and stole the show with his powerful performances (Check out American Idiot (Berkeley) over on TVW for a look back at images, video, and reviews). So, you all MUST book a trip to go and see Tony in American Idiot on Broadway! He is truly outstanding in this role--so perfectly cast, and the show is like no other piece of theatre you will have EVER seen before! Take it from one who saw it first-hand in Berkeley--miss IT and miss OUT! I've booked my flight to see 'St. J' on 'B'way', and hope to see many of you there!
Many Congratulations Tony! Your stage, your fans, and your Tony Award await you! ROCK ON!
MORE NEWS: I'm compiling a "SAS Band 2009" page over on TVW. Unfortunately there was no official photographer at the gig, so if you braved the snow and ice to see Tony at either of the gigs in the UK last December, and have any 'bits' (such as images or thoughts / reviews) that you'd be willing to share with other fans, then please email me at admin@tonyvincentworld.com. Many MANY thanks to everyone who supported the petition to bring Tony over, and who stayed true to their word and booked tickets to attend the gig(s). I felt so honored and privileged to be in the company of so many amazing fans and friends that night. The sense of 'community' I felt is what I always hoped TVW would be about -- uniting fans and friends in one worldwide community to support and promote the amazing artist who continually inspires and blesses us with his talents. I love what we do together.
Thank you ALL!

FANTASTIC NEWS!! YES, YES, YES!! WE--DID--IT!!!!
I have received word from Spike Edney (SAS Band leader) that our petition to bring Tony back to the UK to perform at the SAS Christmas gigs has been SUCCESSFUL!! The invitation to join the line-up of guest artists this coming December has been made, and Tony has accepted!!
Tony will be performing with the SAS band at:
LIGHTHOUSE, POOLE (DORSET) ON 17TH DECEMBER
AND
BISLEY PAVILION, WOKING (SURREY) ON 18TH DECEMBER
PLEASE NOTE THAT TONY WILL NOT BE PERFORMING AT THE BROOK, (SOUTHAMPTON) ON 16TH DECEMBER OR BISLEY PAVILION, (SURREY) ON 19TH DECEMBER.
So, we rallied together and made the invite happen, now it's upto us to rally together once more, to spread the word, book tickets and pack out both these gigs with TV fans! Tickets for the gigs are selling out FAST, so please hop over to SASband.com and head to 'GIGS' (located on the top nav bar) for more details and ticket purchase info A.S.A.P!
Your support for the SAS gig invite has been nothing short of INCREDIBLE, and so, if you're planning to attend the 18th December gig at Bisley, then Tony and I would like to invite you to attend a special post-gig 'MEET-AND-GREET' (to be held at the same venue) which will allow us an opportunity to meet all of you in a social setting and thank you personally for your support. In order to make this post-gig event a success, we first need to get a head count of the people who will be attending on the 18th December, and will plan to attend the meet-and-greet. So, if you know you'll be there, and would like to attend, please R.S.V.P by sending your name (and the names of the people in your party), to admin@tonyvincentworld.com. Places will be limited and must be booked in advance of the gig, so don't delay! As we get closer to the date, we will be sending out emails with specific meet-and-greet details.

For those who have never experienced the SAS gigs
before, or perhaps have never seen Tony perform LIVE before, you are in
for a REAL TREAT!! It's the ULTIMATE rock party! Seriously, these gigs
are packed full of explosive music and festive fun and with our Tony
tearing up the stage alongside a host of legendary artists, what could
be a better Christmas present for us all?!? So, BOOK YOUR TICKETS NOW, and invite your friends and family to come along too!
I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be making this announcement. To welcome Tony back to perform in the UK after three LONG years, is such an exciting (and long overdue) opportunity for us all, but what makes it extra special is that 'fan demand' is bringing him back! It is happening because of YOU--because of every one of you who responded to the petition in such a positive way and sent messages of encouragement to Spike. It just goes to show how amazingly talented Tony is, and the strength of love and support he has in Europe. ALL POWER TO THE TV FANS! YOU ARE THE BEST!
I look forward to hearing from you all, and hopefully SEEING you at one of the gigs this December!

Dear TVW friends,
"When will you be coming back to the UK?" is a message echoed over and over on Tony Vincent's Facebook 'wall' by fans. Well, with your help and suppport, right here, right NOW, the answer to that question could be ..... DECEMBER 2009!!
It's been a long three years since Tony Vincent last graced UK soil, but our wait may AT LAST be over, and a return to these parts imminent, as Spike Edney (SAS band leader) is currently lining up the talent for this year's Christmas SAS gigs. With this in mind, and knowing Tony's history with the SAS band (having performed with them on three previous occasions), we have an exciting opportunity to help secure him a place as a guest artist with them once again! All we need to do is show Spike that there is sufficient 'fan demand', and there is every chance the invitation will be made!
So, to make this happen we need to rally the TVW troops in a MAJOR way to show 'power in numbers' and voice our support for Tony and this Trans-Atlantic invite! Let's show Spike just how tenacious and passionate Tony's network of fan support is in Europe!
How I propose we do this is via a petition which we can forward to Spike. If you want to see Tony perform at the Christmas SAS gigs this year, please head over to the PETITION and complete the relevant sections before clicking on the SUBMIT button. Please remember that by completing the petition you are only submitting your INTEREST, and NOT committing yourself to the purchase or reservation of tickets. This is simply an exercise to gauge numbers of fans interested in supporting Tony at these gigs--nothing more than that. For tickets and detailed gig information please visit sasband.com and go to 'GIGS'.
It's upto us now to generate the buzz and spread the word about this petition to make the invite happen, so please tell all your family members, friends and fellow TV fans about what we're doing!
Thank you all for your support. I'll keep you updated as we go. Keeping fingers crossed to see you all in December!

Tony Vincent has landed a prestigious role in the new Green Day Rock Opera "American Idiot" - a musical-theatre adaptation of the band's 2004 album. He will be playing the role of "St Jimmy" in the show's 6-week run in the Berkeley Rep Theatre, California, which begins previews on Sept 4th 2009. From there, it is hoped the show will be Broadway bound! The show's creative process has similarities to that of WWRY, with the band having heavy involvement in bringing their music to life on stage. Michael Mayer (who won a Tony Award for the Broadway hit "Spring Awakening") is onboard to direct the production. If this show takes-off (as anticipated), it is likely to be the hottest show to see on any American stage this year, and Tony is absolutely thrilled and proud to be a part of it's World debut! Many congratulations Tony from your supporters at tonyvincentworld.com!
Check out the Press Release.
For ticket sales and show schedule go to berkeleyrep.org. More info (such as pics and reviews) to be added to the "American Idiot" section of this site so keep checkin' back!

Friends!
So, it's that time of year again! - WOW, how it comes around so fast! It's Tony's Birthday in less than three weeks (on the 25th July), and the Birthday present dilemma begins to occupy my mind once more. Actually, if i'm honest, it began to occupy my mind the day after his birthday last year, with thoughts of "how will we EVER beat that!?" If you recall, Tony's Birthday gift from supporters of tonyvincentworld.com was two-part, and MASSIVE! The first part being the gift-- six bottles of fine wine selected from each of the six Continents of the world where Tony has a fan. The second part being a Birthday Card - but not any ole' Birthday Card, ohh no - it was one on the grandest scale! A Birthday Card which first journeyed it's way around the world to 30 countries gathering up personal messages from all those fans who chose to be involved. It became bigger than I ever imagined, with 113 'signees' contributing! Tony was absolutely floored by both gifts -TOTALLY stunned and overwhelmed, and yup, there were tears!
Your support for last year's gift giving was nothing short of incredible, and so, I turn to you all again to seek your support in sending a gift to our dear Tony, for his Birthday this year. To answer my own "how will we EVER beat that next year!?" question, simply, we can't EVER 'beat it', (I don't think), BUT we can 'repeat' it - well, in PART, we can!
We all know what a wine connoisseur Tony is, - he just loves a GREAT bottle of the grape, and so, what I propose is, that we repeat the 'six continents of wine from six continents of fans' part of last years gift. It felt like a truly fitting gift to give to a wine loving artist to convey Birthday love and continued appreciation from his supporters all around the world, (and we know it went down a treat!)
So, for those of you who weren't onboard with TVW last year, this is how it worked. I approached Gary Vaynerchuk (Head of Operations and friend of Tony's over at winelibrary.com), and according to our budget (of $50 per bottle), six of Tony's favorite wines were selected --one chosen to represent each of the six Continents where he has fans: North America (California), South America (Chile), Australia (Australia), Asia (Japan), Europe (Spain) and Africa (South Africa).
And below is Tony with the bottles.....

Of course, to send wine again, we need MONEY, we need a budget, so if anyone would like to make a monetary contribution (no matter how big or small) I would much appreciate it. We can't do this otherwise. The wine budget will be set according to the amount raised by contributions and will be totally used up. If there is not sufficient raised for six decent bottles, the short fall will be picked up by me (uh oh!). Each donor will be forwarded the list of bottles selected for their personal reference. Regardless of donations made, giving is optional- please know that. There is no pressure to contribute. A gift card will be attached, but there will not be sufficient room to name individual donors - this gift will be from EVERYONE who supports tonyvincentworld.com. If you would like to be involved then please let me know A.S.A.P. Donations can be sent via PayPal to email: admin@tonyvincentworld.com or via this Link and must be received by no later than 14th July so that there is adequate time to calculate the budget, order, and deliver to Tony by his Birthday on 25th July. If you do not have access to PayPal and would still like to make a donation, then please email me to discuss alternative options. PLEASE NOTE that if, (for whatever reason), there is a problem, and this plan does not go ahead, then all donations will be returned. I don't want to do that though, so let's plan to make this happen! I'll keep you all updated as we go.
Thank you all so much for continuing to support tonyvincentworld.com, and thank you to those of you who have been especially supportive to me personally, as I've faced up to some recent health drama. I'm getting back in the saddle now, and the tonyvincentworld.com update and re-vamp is back under way!..... More on that soon!
Stay safe out there this summer everyone!

Dear fans and friends ~
As many of you will already know, Tony has been bitten by the social networking bug! Desiring ways to be more accessible, and to keep fans personally updated on the very latest news and daily goings-on in his life and career, he's just recently launched a Twitter account, a Facebook account, and a Blogger account -all of which are TOTALLY managed by him (and not representatives). Check out his April newsletter for the official announcement.
Up until now the Tony Vincent World on MySpace and Facebook accounts have been at the forefront of promotion and interaction - pullin' in fans, and pluggin' Tony and his latest news updates around the world. However, this way of working has (and continues) to mean a tremendous amount of duplication of information, as well as to cause confusion amongst fans, (especially those seeking to contact and interact with Tony on a personal level), many believing that Tony actually manages the TVW site and puts out these TVW updates himself. Well, for the record, Tony Vincent World is a FAN site, designed by fans, for fans, and currently is managed by a fan - that fan being, me. Tony fully endorses the site however -liking it's mission and vision, he granted it 'Official Fan Site' status in 2006, and he is always on hand to offer his thoughts, input and support, BUT he cannot be contacted via it. With Tony seeking ways to be more interactive, and I, (as administrator of TVW), wanting to prevent the confusion and duplication that TVW produces over and over, an opportunity arose for us both to channel our thoughts together just recently and look at ways that we can network more efficiently and effectively, -ways of keeping everything 'central' and 'synched'. The conclusion that we reached was that tonyvincentworld.com should step away from all social networking activities and stand as an official supportive resource website only, and that all news, promotion and interaction should be managed solely by Tony via his official tonyvincent.com website, Mailing-List, and TV social networking / blogging sites.
With this being the plan of action, I need to let you all know that Tony Vincent World on MySpace and Facebook will close down in the very near future (when the majority of fans have been re-directed). For the tonyvincentworld.com website, the Fan Forum, the TVW Mailing-List, and the TVW Facebook 'fan group', it's business as usual - so please please PLEASE come over and keep intouch with me and all the latest TVW news there! Tony will make any TVW announcements via his TV networking sites also, to keep you all in the loop of any news from my side, and he and I will continue to liase closely with each other with regards to promo ideas, and such. I want to thank you all for supporting TVW on MySpace and Facebook the past few years - I consider it an absolute priviledge to have communicated with, and interacted with, so many fellow fans from all over the world through these two sites, and I have made some dear dear friends along the way. Thank you all. TVW is NOT closing down, ok? THAT is NEVER going to happen! This is just a new way of working things and I TOTALLY feel that this is the right way to move forward together, so, rock 'n' roll and on we go! EVERYONE, please get yourselves plugged into the mains - direct to Tony himself, NOW, and head over to friend him up on his personal MySpace and Facebook accounts, follow him on Twitter and Blogger, and ensure you are on his Mailing-List over at tonyvincent.com - and tell your friends to do the same!
With TV is where we ALL need to be.....
With continued thanks!
-Ing x
PS ohh and about that TVW website re-vamp / re-design? - i'm working on it, i'm working on it ;) ....
